• Wi-Fi-based indoor sensing
  Presence Detection, Motion Detection, Fall Detection, Respiration Detection, Finger Tracking
  

  Wi-Fi sensing means that the channel state information (CSI) measured by the Wi-Fi signal is used to extract the activity characteristics associated with the detected target for further sensing applications. In practical systems, non-ideal properties of devices will introduce estimation errors into the CSI. Our main focus is therefore on how to correct for these errors through signal processing algorithms and how to better extract features with good generalisation for special sensing applications.
  

  
  

• A study of Wi-Fi sensing based on beamforming feedback weights
  Matrix Decomposition, Beamforming Weights Feedback, Parameters Estimation, Wi-Fi Sensing
  

  We have conducted an exhaustive study of the beamforming feedback procedure in existing Wi-Fi standards and designed a feedback scheme for beamforming weights that is more suitable for sensing without compromising the communication function. We have also performed a mathematical analysis of the communication and sensing performance for the proposed feedback scheme and further validated our analysis through simulations and experiments.
